Gorumara National Park :

Gorumara National park is located in the Dooars region of Jalpaiguri district. Situated on the bank of Murti River the National Park has a large variety of flora and fauna. The grassland of Garumara is famous for Asiatic one-horned rhino. The watchtower beside the Forest Rest House gives a panoramic view of the entire park and the Murti Valley. tiger-hill.jpg Today, it has the largest population of Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros in the state, an animal threatened with extinction, and is a Habitat management area (Category IV). The near by Chilapata Forests is a elephant corridor between Jaldapara and the Buxa Tiger Reserve Also close by is the Gorumara National Park, known for its population of Indian Rhinoceros.

30 km from Jaldapara, a small village on the banks of River Torsha bordering Bhutan is the only habitation of Toto, a primitive tribe in Dooars.This place is famous for elephant safari. This is a most wonderful adventure.The elephant ride is the best possible way to explore the sanctuary with the rare sight of Indian rhinos and Asiatic elephants. Madarihat is the nearest railway station which is only 7km from the sanctuary and all the passenger trains stops here.Jaldapara tourist lodge is in a walk able distance from this railway station. Jayanti

Jayanti is a small forest village within Buxa Tiger Reserve in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal, India. It is located along the Jayanti River, forming a natural border with the Bhutan hills. It is popular with hikers for its beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and wild fountains. The 13 km trek from Buxaduar to Jayanti is especially popular, passing through the dense forest of the Buxa Tiger Reserve.

Chapramari Forest

Chapramari forests nearly 80 kilometers from Siliguri.
